Jordan Rohrer
Jordan Rohrer is the Consulting Partner at DB Business Brokerage. Jordan has been working with David Black acting as his personal and business accountant for the past decade. While their work together was initially focused on maintaining and improving the finances of the accounts Jordan managed, it steadily developed into a strong working partnership. For the last decade, Jordan has worked closely with David to refine both personal and professional financial procedures and practices. When the accounting firm that introduced them dissolved, it made perfect sense that they go into business together.
Jordan has a diverse portfolio when it comes to his experience in business management and development. When he originally began working with David back in 2013, he was the head of one of the top five dairy farms in Rockingham County. While managing this farm, Jordan balanced the finances and management requirements of the business with developing the range and scope of the company’s success and capabilities through diversifying projects, implementing novel procedures and practices, and building a team based in integrity.
After being a successful dairy farmer for nearly twelve years, Jordan purchased another business while working with a business broker. Through utilizing a brokerage, Jordan was able to be a present member of the buying process; consequently, he gained invaluable knowledge in the realms of valuing a business, cautionary and confidentiality practices, understanding and reviewing existing company contracts, and what it means to be truly involved in business brokerage proceedings. Prior to this experience, Jordan has had various experiences over the years in building, buying, selling, and dissolving businesses and investment groups. His realm of knowledge spans the areas of attaining and maintaining a business, especially in regard to team member growth and personnel development. In seven years, Jordan has expanded his current business three-fold, and continues to develop his team through seminars on leadership and team-building.
Jordan brings a wide range of skills and experiences to this team. His nine years spent in Puerto Rico during his developmental years resulted in a wealth of cross-cultural competency, as well as fluency in Spanish. His decades of experience with multiple businesses and investments has cultured a mindset of resiliency, determination, and purpose-driven work. Jordan’s mantra is to value and protect your integrity, especially when going into business. Whether you’re buying, building, or selling a business – integrity is paramount.
Jordan’s goal is to help each client realize their full potential through identifying areas of strength and building upon those strong foundations. Similarly, if it is noted during the appraisal process that there are areas which require improvement, Jordan will work with you and your team to determine the best approach for remedying these discrepancies. It is undoubtedly crucial to know and prepare for what sort of buyer will be the best fit to lead and manage your company. With this in mind, Jordan will consider your company’s primary responsibilities and values to determine if interested buyers are truly prepared to takeover your business, as well as what sort of price negotiation may ensue based on a buyer’s budget and flexibility.
Jordan was born and raised right here in Rockingham County, except for the nine years spent in Puerto Rico when his family served in mission work during his childhood. This passion for service and faith was instilled in Jordan, as he is currently serving as a pastor of Redeemer Christian Fellowship. He has a lovely wife and three beautiful children with whom he enjoys spending time when he is not reading or hiking.
